ABOUT WEAVING AND WEAVING MACHINE

PROCESS DEFINATION:

The process of interlacing warp yarn the inserted yarn in a definite order to form a fabric suitable for us a dress material or industrial purpose is called weaving. The matching used for this purpose is called loom.

MAIN PARTS OF THE AIR JET LOOM:

? Main motor
? Hydraulic brake motor
? Cutter motor
? ELCA motor
? Waste cutter motor
? Held shaft
? Profile reed
? Main valve
? Main nozzle
? Relay nozzle
? Cam & cam shedding
? Clutch sensor
? Cutter

? Back rest
? Sensor
? Take up roller
? Let off roller

LOOM MECHANISM:

Primary mechanism
Shedding
Picking
Beating

Secondary mechanism:
Let off
Take up

SHEDDING:
? Cam shedding produced by STAUBLI
? Total no of heald frame are eight usually used 3 or 4
? Cams are driven from individual motor are used only for the shedding
? RPM of the motor 1410

PICKING:
? Picking is done by air
? Picking starts at 65 degree & arrive to next end at 240 degree.
? Creel capacity / number of pre-winder in each loom: 02
? Highest 2 color can be used at a time.

Here,
1. Creel
2. Yarn package
3. tensioner
4. Accumulator
5. Balloon breaker
6. finger
7. PFT (Programmable felling tensioner )
8. PFT motor
9. Fixed main nozzle
10. Moveable main nozzle
11. Felling cutter
12. Shed
13. Relay nozzle
14. felling detector-1(FD-1)
15. Waste cutter
16. FD-2
BEAT-UP:
? Cam beat-up mechanism is used
? Profile reed is used

LET-OFF:
? Positive let-off
? Individual motor is used
? There are load cell on break rest which sense the tension on the warp sheet.
? The sense is transferred to the let-off motor which release required length of warp.

TAKE-UP:
? For unit one pick wheel of require no of teeth is used for setting PPI.
? For unit two PPI can be easily set by computer. Individual motor is used for take-up.

WARP STOP MOTION:
Electrical warp stop motion.

WEFT STOP MOTION:
Sensor is used to stop the loom due to weft way fault.

Here,
1. Weaver’s beam
2. Back rest
3. Drop wire & Drop wire bar
4. Heald wire & eye
5. Shed
6. Reed
7. Take-up r/r
8. Guide r/r
9. Batching mechanism
10. Cloth roll

# FUNCTION OF FD-1 & FD-2:

When there is absence of pick, FD-1Stop the m/c. It feeling the present or absent of pick.

FD-2 is attached just after the FD-1. It limits the insertion of pick. FD-2 feels the presence of pick if FD-2 feel the pick it stop the m/c.

# FUNCTION OF RELAY NOZZLE & RELAY VALVE:

Relay nozzle carry the pick from one side to other side by air stream.

Each relay valve controls four relay nozzle but here three relay nozzle are used.

AUTOMATIC MOTION BFORE START:

ASP: Automatic start position. The m/c automatically moves to this position
when setting.

ASO: Automatic start off-set. Number of times the m/c passes beat-up when
starting.

AUTOMATIC MOTION AFTER STOP:

AMP: Automatic motion positioning.

INDICATING LIGHT:

? RED: Red light is on due to warp yarn breakage.
? YELLOW: Yellow light is on due to weft yarn breakage.
? GREEN: Green light is on due to m/c stop intentionally
? WHITE: White light is on due to mechanical fault.
? RED & GREEN TOGETHER: Is on due to finish of warp stop.
? YELLOW & GREEN TOGETHER: Is on due to finish of weft package.

WEAVING FAULT:

1. STARTING MARK:
Causes:- Main causes is loom stoppage.
Remedy:- This can not be avoided but can be controlled by starting mark
setting.

2. REED MARK:
Causes:-
? If any fault occur at reed.
? Faulty denting in the reed.
Remedy:
Right selection of the reed & right denting

3. FILLING STOP:
Causes:
? If weft is failed to reach FD1
? If weft is too long & reach FD2
Remedy:
? Correct setting of the weft length
? Correct setting of main nozzle
? Correct setting of relay nozzle
? Proper setting of air pressure
? Proper setting of pre-winder
? Proper setting of creel position

4. SNARL:
Causes:
? Excess main nozzle pressure
? Low filling tension
Remedy:
? Main nozzle air pressure control
? Correct setting of the PFT finger value

5. DOUBLE PICK:
Causes:
? Cutting problem of the cutter
? Faulty setting of the air pressure
Remedy:
? Cutting problem of the cutter
? Air pressure should be rest

6. MISS PICK:
Causes:
? Excess air pressure of main nozzle
Remedy:
? Main nozzle air pressure should be reduced

7. WARP BREAKAGE:
Cause:
? Bad sizing
? Low strength of the yarn
? Crossing of the warp yarn
? Loose or tight yarn
Remedy:
? Re knotting
? Proper sizing
