CONCLUTION AND RECOMMENDATION
CONCLUTION:
Heat transfer rate depends on the method of setting fins in the plates, surface
finish, and color of paint and also depends on the positioning of fns etc. For
time limitation and simplicity fins were held in vertical position.
After performing the experiment of the following statements
May be concluded:
1. For 1st combination (rectangular fin and triangular fin) experimental heat
transfer rate is higher than that of 2nd combination (rectangular fin and inverse
parabolic fin) by 0.35 watt and 3rd combination (triangular fin and inverse
parabolic fin) by 0.9 watt.
2) For 1st combination (rectangular fn and triangular fin ) theoretical heat
transfer rate is higher than that of 2nd combination( rectangular fin and inverse
parabolic fin) by 0.18 and 3rd Combination ( triangular fin and inverse parabolic
fin ) by 0.87 watt.

The protect work ( thesis ) was carried out for design construction and study
of heat transfer rate for different type of {ins combination for free convection.
The per(-orrnancc of fin depends upon dilTerent parameters like geometrical
shape, kinds ol'material, surface Finishes, fin height, fin spacing, etc. For
simplicity and time limitation of this work, the eaperiment was completed b_y
keeping constant fin 'spacing, base lcnyh and hcirht.
For srlecling the best yeomctric;tl shape, three combinations of' fins ix,,
rectangular and triangular fin, rectangular and inverse parabolic fin, trianpmlar
and inverse parabolic fin were taken under tlv;, ;,xperiment in only vertical
position. The highest heat transfer rate and efficiency werv received 1rom the
rectangular and triangular Fin combination arn(ml; three type ol'hn combinations.
It was observed that, for I" combination ( rectangular and triangular fin
), heat irunslcr rate and cllicicncy are ltil;hcr than 2"`t combination
( reclangular and inverse parabolic fin ) and 3`1 ccombination ( triangular
and inverse parabolic fin ). For 3`1 combination heat tramsler rate is higher
but efficiency is Iwvcr than 3)"' combination.
It was also uhst.:r y.;d that li)r all fin Combinations, cxpcrimcrna! lm;o trans6cl-
