What are needed design for Pyrolysis process?

Design and fabrication of experimental setup

Introduction


The design and fabrication of the batch type fixed bed pyrolysis was major part of this project work and maximum time had been spent to redesign, construct, and assemble the experimental setup. The main parts of the system are fixed bed reactor, heater, condenser and liquid collector.
The pyrolysis system is designed based on the following consideration:


1. Reliable heat supply for required heating of the system.
2. Adequate gas flow rate to dispose of the vapor mixture.
3. A proper mass flow rate of vapor and water for proper condensation.
4. A size of the system such that sufficient amount of pyrolysis liquid can be produced.
5. Rapid heat transfers into the reactor from internal for less heat loss.
3.2 Description of work
3.2.1 Introduction


Various operations were performed in different shops and laboratory of an University . Some operation were Performed at outdoors shops. In machine shops maximum operations were performed. The welding and brazing operations are done it Sheet Metal and welding shops. As material used was stainless steel; it was difficult to carry out the operations.
