Experimental procedure for pyrolysis
process:
Experimental procedure:
The following procedures were employed for every operation:
1. The feed material is selected and weighted.
2. The feed material is weighed and filled into the reactor.
3. The experimental setup is assembled.
4. High temperature gaskets are used to seal the joints.
5. Ice is set in the condenser.
6. The pressure regulator valve of the nitrogen gas cylinder is opened.
For purging, the Nitrogen gas is supplied.
7. The electric heater is started.
8. The Nitrogen gas is passed through reactor via the gas pre-heating
chamber and this flow is controlled the use of a gas flow meter valve.
9. The operation time is recorded by means of a stopwatch.
10. When the operation is completed, the heater is turned off.
11. It is dismantled when the rig is cooled enough to be handed. The
char is collected from the reactor bed and weighed. All data are recorded
in tabular from.
12. All the parts of the system are cleaned and the components are dried
with air jet before reassembling for the next run.
