Generator Operation:
This generator runs with natural gas. The gas is supplied by the Titash gas.
The approximate gas pressure received is 3.8 kips. The gas is burned in the
cylinder by 4-stroke cycle. The energy gained by the internal combustion in
the cylinder is used to move the piston which is connected with a crankshaft.
There are total 12 cylinders in the generator. The crank shaft rotates with
the total power from 12 cylinders at an rpm of about 1500. The crankshaft
is connected with a generator which can produce power of about 520 KVA. Then
the power is distributed from L.T. switch room.
The whole generating system is controlled by four control panels from a control
room. In the control room the whole condition of the system is showed by four
LCD touch screen. An operator can control & monitor the whole system from
control room. In the control room the control panel shows the temperature
of different place of the generator, rpm of crankshaft, gas flow rate, engine
load factor, voltage in different line, power generated by generator etc.
