SCOPES:
1. It reduces NOx content in exhaust gas.
2. It reduces the noise pollution.
3. It recovers the heat of exhaust gas of stationary diesel engine.

LIMITATIONS:

1. Engine efficiency decreases with the increase in percentage of EGR.
2. It requires a special arrangement which increases total cost.
